The Institute offers non-stipendiary Associate Fellowships for independent scholars, emeritus and for early career researchers. These Fellowships offer library access and discounted or free entry to IMR events, but no office space or other infrastructural support.
Scholars wishing to be based at the Institute for short periods (typically one to four months) are encouraged to contact the Director regarding non-stipendiary Visiting Research Fellowships. These Fellowships are subject to a bench fee.
Overseas doctoral students wishing to be based at the Institute for up to a year are also invited to contact the Director. These Fellowships are subject to a bench fee.
The IMR Advisory Council awards a small number of fellowships to UK and international figures whose distinguished contribution it wishes to honour. Nominations are sought from and decided upon by the Advisory Council.
